The high-tenacity Belforte PP fiber is used in the production of civil and environmental nonwoven geotextiles worldwide. The fiber is formed and needlepunched on a stable cloth. Nonwoven geotextiles resist most ambient factors, such as UV deterioration, chemical and biological degradation, etc… Thanks to the high tenacity levels of our PP fiber, we guarantee the strongest nonwoven geotextile, offering tenacities far beyond 52 cN/dtex.
Belforte is a geotextile, a permeable fabric that is able to separate, filter, reinforce, protect, or drain when used in association with soil. Geotextiles are typically made from polypropylene or polyester, fabrics. They come in three basic forms:
- Woven
- Needle-punched
- Heat-bonded
Belforte is used as a needle-punched fiber.
The introduction of geotextile composites has led to the development of products such as geogrids and meshes, which are applied today in geotechnical and environmental engineering. . These so-called geosynthetics exist in many forms, including geonets, geogrids and others.—-

The geotextile fiber is availble from 3 to 8 den and 50 (2") to 120 mm (5"), typically in natural white or black. According to the customer's requirements, specific products can be added during or after the extrusion process (UV-stability, anti oxidants, anti static). All geotextile fibers are anti gasfading.
